Responsibilities

  • Take charge of a multicultural and vibrant team of five or more sous chefs and at least 75 other top chefs.
  • Oversee between 10 to 15 restaurants
  • Ensure that only delicious, high-quality, and attractively presented food is served
  • Uphold a secure and healthy work atmosphere for all personnel and visitors.
  • Plan and oversee culinary and meal preparation tasks.
  • Create new menus or edit existing ones to satisfy quality standards.
  • Track and calculate estimated food needs and labor and food expenses.
  • Maintain brand values at all times

Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree equivalent from a recognized university in hotel administration, culinary arts, or a related area.
  • An Executive Chef must have at least 3-5 years of expertise working on a large cruise ship, multi-venue, high-volume luxury hotel, or resort. This requirement is mandatory
  • Experience managing up to a 1,500-person event at a large banquet
  • Powerful and efficient leadership abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
  • It’s necessary to have an intermediate to advanced understanding of all fundamental cooking methods.
  • Depending on the positions applied for, an intermediate to advanced understanding of traditional European, international, and global cuisine, including culinary philosophies and principles, is needed.
  • An added advantage will be knowing pre-opening initiatives, managing multiple units, and training and development.
  • Excellent knowledge of different cooking techniques, ingredients, modern equipment use, and professional kitchen routines

Responsibilities

  • Help Senior Employment Counsel with administrative and legal duties, including working on specific cases, issues, or projects.
  • Assist Senior Employment Counsel with preparing for internal and external investigations, depositions, hearings, and settlement conferences.
  • Write letters to prospective external counsel, attorneys, administrative agencies, courts, and third parties in connection with hiring and consulting agreements.
  • Create and submit pleadings, such as the first versions of discovery requests and replies.
  • Review evidence and documents manually and electronically.
  • Conduct legal studies on labor laws, regulations, and case law in the US and abroad.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience working as a paralegal in a cross-functional legal team, with a strong emphasis on employment, or as an international labor and employment paralegal
  • Expertise with employee investigations and agency charges (EEOC, Civil Rights)
  • Knowledge of important US employment laws including EEO, FMLA, ADA, and ADEA is required, as is an understanding of US state laws, non-US laws, and data privacy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Capability to accept direction and operate autonomously with minimal or no oversight
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail 
  • A solid sense of urgency, as well as the capacity to execute duties promptly 
  • Ability to prioritize and organize numerous conflicting tasks to meet deadlines and organizational demands
