This client is looking to welcome a new Staff Software Engineer on board. The responsibility for developing, maintaining, and safeguarding the technology that allows customers to use significant product offerings will fall to this person. This opportunity has visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation, development, and maintenance of next-generation product offerings.
- Work with the product and business teams to specify product requirements and implement technology solutions from inception.
- Participate actively in defining the architecture and product roadmap, from conception to release and testing.
- Be equipped with the authority to spearhead new endeavors and guide young engineers
Qualifications
- Computer Science BS or MS (or a related discipline)
- Minimum of 8 years of expertise as a professional engineer
- Demonstrated competence in Python and other OOP languages
- Solid knowledge of SQL databases and protocols like gRPC, REST, and WebSockets
- Experience developing with cloud-native settings (AWS preferred)
- Ability to work with others, teach junior engineers, and take part in or lead code reviews
- Proven experience in writing creative, adaptable, and well-tested code
