Graduate Quantitative Researcher, US | Work Visa Sponsorship

Duties

  • Investigate quant project ideas by delving into market data using mathematical, statistical, and programming tools.
  • Perform research to uncover new patterns that can transform into a trading signal, and collaborate with technologists to backtest results and put that trading signal into production.
  • Ensure signal performance is optimized after being embedded in SIG’s electronic trading strategies by carrying out continuous research on said strategies 
  • Engage in discussions with other traders, researchers, and strategists as your trading strategy evolves to gather feedback and brainstorm new ideas that can turn into new quant projects.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field, such as Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Operations Research.
  • Outstanding skills in solving mathematical problems
  • Excellent communication skills, both in understanding others and making yourself clearly understood
  • Solid, practical computing skills
  • Track record of working on in-depth research projects
  • Though not required, experience in finance is an added advantage.
