South East Coast Ambulance Service is combining their top-ranked Newly Qualified Paramedic program with their custom International Recruitment package to recruit freshly qualified paramedics into the NHS.Â
Duties
- Perform paramedic duties within an operational team following protocols, the scope of practice, Standard Operating Procedures, and clinical guidelines
- Deliver flexible ambulance service responses and, if necessary, cross professional boundaries to strengthen unscheduled care delivery.
- Seek support and clinical advice from appropriate quarters if/when required.
- Follow the required HCPC Standards of Proficiency and stay within practice scope and role competencies to continuously deliver patient care.
- Assist with all patient care until an experienced paramedic recommends discharge, referral, or transfer to another healthcare professional or agency.
Qualifications
- Degree in Paramedic Science or its equivalent. Other advanced clinical courses, like ALS, PHEC, and PHTLS, are also desirable.
- Fulfillment of all Knowledge and Skills Framework requirements for this role
- Valid driver’s license, with a maximum of 3 endorsement points, except in exceptional cases in which a maximum of 6 points may receive consideration
- Practical communication skills (verbal and written) in delicate, contentious, and complicated situations.
- Ability to deal with diverse types of people from different cultural and social backgrounds and in a customer/patient setting
