Duties
- Plan and implement care that promotes the inhabitants’ independence, dignity, and sense of security.
- Becoming familiar with the residents and their families will help to guarantee that HC One provides individualized care.
- Take responsibility for upholding the highest levels of care while overseeing a group of Care Assistants, thus having a significant impact on the group as a whole.
- Most importantly, act with kindness, whether explaining how to use a walking frame, assisting someone near the end of their life with eating, or calling a resident’s family.
- Support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager by assisting in dispensing medication, engaging patients in various social and recreational activities, and providing them with the necessary physical and mental stimulation.
- Build excellent relationships with the other team members and keep meticulous records of your work.
Qualifications
- An S/NVQ 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, with experience in person-centered care planning and understanding of dementia care.
- An outstanding optimistic attitude and innate ability to get along with others are vital.
- Effective time management and understanding of what constitutes appropriate record keeping.
- A considerate and kind attitude anytime you speak with a resident or fellow employee. After all, it is simply part of your personality.
