This employer is currently seeking a qualified automotive mechanic to join their team on a full-time basis. The ideal applicant will have years of experience in vehicle repair and be able to work independently.
Duties
- Perform regular and scheduled servicing on customer cars while utilizing a range of manual and power tools approved by management.
- Address mechanical problems with vehicles when they are delivered on-site
- Carry out overhauls, tune-ups for engines, etc.
- Perform relevant tasks like changing the oil, rotating the tires, aligning the wheels, and repairing clutches, axles, drive lines, etc., without needing the supervision of a certified automotive technician.
- Replace damaged parts (spark plugs, sensors, pads, etc.)
- Make sure that the brake system and wheels are correctly aligned.
- To guarantee a smooth transition, conduct the hand-over of the car and consult a specialist if the vehicle’s problems go beyond their scope of knowledge.
- If installation parts are not easily accessible on-site, advise management to procure them.
- Complete and correct completion of all mechanical repairs
- Before giving the car to the customer, a road test may be conducted.
- Provide exceptional customer care to all clients and collaborate with other mechanics and technicians as needed.
- May train new employees, if required.
Qualifications
- Diploma from secondary school; recommended is a training certificate!
- 2-3 years of automotive mechanic experience
- Expertise with brake parts, wheel alignment, and engine tune-ups
- Having prior knowledge of suspension services will be a huge plus!
- Working knowledge of a variety of vehicles
- Proficiency in English
