A transportation company in Canada is seeking to hire a truck driver in Toronto. The truck driver will drive large trucks along intercity, provincial, national, and international routes to transfer supplies and merchandise.
Duties
- Transport materials and products over land to and from manufacturing facilities, retail locations, and distribution centers.
- Perform preventative maintenance and check for mechanical faults and vehicle safety issues.
- Organize routes and adhere to delivery deadlines.
- Keep track of your work hours, breaks, distance traveled when driving, and fuel or toll receipts.
- Move trucks into locations for loading or unloading.
- Gather and double-check delivery instructions
Qualifications
- Two years of truck driving experience with evidence
- CLB 4 competence in English
- A valid driver’s license from your native country or place of residence
- A criminal background check, and the capacity to drive for lengthy periods and travel often.
