The most qualified candidates will have in-depth knowledge of welding maintenance for tools and equipment used in the production, processing, and storage of food. Responsibilities

  • Study and understand the welding maintenance process requirements of the equipment on site.
  • Use manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to join metal pieces together using a variety of techniques.
  • Use metal shaping tools like brakes, shears, and other metal straightening and bending machines to repair worn-out machine parts.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting, brazing, and soldering equipment as needed.
  • Plan and carry out weekly maintenance operations
  • Conduct additional welding processes to guarantee that machinery operates as intended
  • Before turning over to the responsible department, make sure all machines are in good working order.
  • Have the capability to operate a variety of gear and equipment (arc, gas welding, soldering, etc.)
  • Use various welding processes as needed (SMAW, GMAW, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent 
  • Good skills and knowledge of maintaining industrial gear
  • At least two years of demonstrated maintenance welding experience
  • It would be beneficial to have good knowledge of the food manufacturing and production industries.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work in a hurried setting, notably on cold manufacturing floors
  • Proficiency in the English language
