A recruitment firm is looking for a home childcare provider to supervise and care for twins in the employer’s home, which is based in a rural area. Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and international candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit can apply, as the employer has applied for Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to fill shortages with foreign workers temporarily.
Duties
- Housekeeping, preparation of nutritious meals, and personal care for children and infants (bathing, dressing, and feeding)
- Provide personal hygiene and social development instruction to children, and administer discipline using methods approved and requested by the parents
- Log children’s daily activities and health information
- Ensure the home environment is safe and healthy
- Transport children to and from school and appointments
- Put together outings, games, and other related activities for the children
- Oversee the children and ensure their emotional well-being
Qualifications
- Recognized certificate or diploma from a college, College of General and Professional Teaching (CEGEP), or other non-university institution with a minimum of a 1 to a 2-year program.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable with the ability to take the initiative and make sound judgments
- Flexibility and organizational skills
