Personal Support Aide, Canada | Work Visa Sponsorship

Experienced registered nurses are needed as personal care workers to provide patients with primary care. Such must be well composed in all situations and relate well with patients. She must also be willing to relocate to Canada.

Duties

  • Attend to call signals and assist with bedside/personal care such as bedpan supply and emptying, bed making, personal hygiene, feeding, lifting and re-positioning patients, preparing patients for surgery, overseeing their leisure and exercise, etc.
  • Read patients’ temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, give reports on fluid intake and output, provide first aid, administer medication and collect specimens, as directed by medical staff.
  • Use a wheelchair or stretcher to transport patients for treatment or surgery or between care facilities.
  • Take inventory of supplies, and deliver information such as messages, requests, reports, and specimens between departments.
  • If needed, carry out maintenance duties like assistance with setting up, assembling, operating, cleaning, and maintaining/repairing equipment used during work.

Qualifications

  • Licensed nurse with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • Less than 45 years old with at least three years of nursing experience.
  • Empathy and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Proof of English Language proficiency (IELTS band score 6 in each component)
  • Practical organizational and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of effective methods of patient care
