Thanks to an approved Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), the employer has the authorization to hire a foreign worker temporarily for covering skill or labour shortages. This employment involves working with the elderly and is based in the client’s home. The successful candidate will also be trained, and a free live-in accommodation arrangement is available. However, this is not compulsory or a part of the conditions for employment.
Responsibilities
- Help clients when in the water (pool).
- Help clients with their daily hygiene routines, such as taking a bath.
- Provide support while carrying out their routine exercise, like walking.
- Wash all clothes and bedding.
- Perform simple cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Offer companionship to clients.
- Provide personalized treatment.
- Shop for groceries and home goods.
- Make and serve healthy meals.
Qualifications
- At least a secondary school graduation certificate or its equivalent
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to handle all the standing, walking and sitting that come with the job
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Must be highly organized, punctual, and be able to carry out repetitive tasks
- Must have a client-focused mindset and be flexible and reliable.
- Ability to take initiative and make sound judgments
