We seek a Senior Product Data Scientist to be a part of creating the bank of the future by contributing to our strong culture of data-driven decision-making. Here, you will work in cross-functional squads as a member of a significant data team and get fully integrated into 1 product squad along with designers, product managers, engineers, marketers, etc.
Duties
- Perform quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to gain insights and better understand how our users interact with our products and how those insights can drive our product strategy.
- Provide guidance, enable product teams to measure essential things, and initiate or help run A/B experiments to improve what we do continuously.
- Work closely with the finance team to drive a unified company-wide understanding of our users’ lifetime value and how different product features impact user profitability.
- Collaborate with the engineers to consistently ensure that the correct data is to generate relevant business insights
Qualifications
- Genuine excitement and passion for what Monzo is doing
- Strong expertise in SQL and, preferably, Python
- An eager and impact-driven mindset toward the product, its users, the company, and your colleagues.
- Commercial mindedness and ability to view numbers from a business perspective
- Track record of conducting A/B experiments on a large scale
- A strong and proactive self-starter with strategic thinking skills who can recognize and deal with problems and opportunities without instructions.
- Reliable team player
The recruitment process takes about 2 to 3 weeks on average, but your availability can be worked around. There is a 3-stage interview process consisting of an initial call, a take-home task or pair coding exercise, and a final interview that includes a system design and behavioral interview.
